Arizona build'n

Name:
Location: Arizona, United States

Welcome to my site. I will be Chronicling the construction of our new home. Here is a brief history of my experiance in this area. I moved every few years as a child. As an adult I stayed in one house for 25 years, but helped remodel it four times. From a minor bath redo to adding an entire second story to the house. Now my husband and I have moved to AZ to care for my elderly parents and are undertaking to be the owner/builders of a custom home. Some people don't like change but I guess I'm not one of them. Or perhaps it is just limited change I like. To my husband's current dismay I helped build a 4000 square foot house in Romania in 2001. We took it from slab to fully furnished in 11 days. I therefore have meager patience for the pace of building here in Arizona.

Wednseday

We met Jon and Courtney at the airport on Tuesday and spent the evening getting caught up on their current trip (they are in the midst of support raising in California) and future plans. On Wednesday we all met up with Anna and Adam for breakfast at their favorite place in Encinitas, Swamis Cafe. Then back to Adam's home to greet relatives and do more wedding prep stuff. Later the four of us went to Balboa Park for a little sightseeing.

The above pictures show some of the piles of stuff ready to go to the reception site, our breakfast and the two young couples, and two shots from Balboa park.

The Next Wedding Approaches!

Well Jon and Courtney have been married for nearly 5 months, Peter and Joely for just over 1 month, and now it is Anna and Adam's turn. We are off to San Diego tomorrow for all the fun final preparations and pre-wedding parties, and of course, for the BIG DAY!!

Above are a few photos taken as Lynn (groom's mom) and I exchanged ideas of how it should come together. Hopefully we'll have some more photos to share as the week goes along. As they used to say, stay tuned....
